A look back at 2018 and to the Future

News

We hope this post finds you well and that you’ve had an excellent year.

We feel this year has been the most diverse in the whole of Holden Vintage & Classic’s 30-year history. It’s been an exhilarating and challenging year, one which we’ve made the best of ‘Against All Odds’!

We started the year with our 2020 project, a three-year plan to upgrade systems, to introduce a new website and build a team to look after the next 30 years. Our focus; to build a faster, more effective service for you. This is going well so far with our new SAP computer system looking to be completed almost two years early.

30 Years Anniversary

Marking our 30-Year anniversary in September was beautifully nostalgic, looking back at where we’ve come from, and exciting, as we look forward to where we’re going to.

In 2018 we released our
11th Edition Catalogue,

one which we hope you already have your copy of. If you haven’t, please click here to order your FREE copy
(postage charges do apply).

Special projects have always played a meaningful role in the Holden ethos, and, this year we undertook a bracing Morgan Plus 4 restoration. Jeremy shipped the completed car around the world, to take part in RallyRound’s exotic 2018 Rally Africa. (In support of Just a Drop, a charity which brings sustainable, safe water projects to remote communities.)

Our team won RallyRound Rally Africa’s 2018 the “Against All Odds” award (which we thought quite fitting for this year!)

Service Bay

In October we officially extended our Morgan Service Bay to offer repair, restoration and services to take all makes and models of vintage and classic cars. If you’d like to book in, please call! 01885 488 488

New LUCAS Products

We will continue to work closely with Lucas to bring you new products; we are currently investing in new tooling and producing exciting products such as the RB310 (available in the first quarter 2019).

Holden Morgan News

As you may know, we will not be taking orders for new Morgans after 31st December 2018 at Holden Morgan. None of us at Holden Vintage & Classic or Holden Morgan has regrets. It has been an absolutely wonderful 18 months, working with so many beautiful cars and getting to know our fantastic customers and staff. We’ll continue to sell a few select used cars so if you are in the market please take a look at our fantastic offers!

We’ll still be supplying Morgan parts and servicing and if you have any questions about this please let us know.

Shows

Throughout 2019 you will be seeing us at a few major shows with our historic Ex Morgan Motor race bus. (Purchased by the MMC in the early ’90s and accompanied race Plus 8 Big Blue all over Europe in the International GT series.)

New Website!

Our new website is due to launch early 2019! We’ve been working on it over the past few months and when it’s complete we think you’ll be really happy with the improvements we’ve made.

Christmas Hours

Please note we are now closed and will be reopening on 2nd January.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks for your support through 2018 and beyond. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy 2019.

All the best, from all of us at team Holden Vintage & Classic.
